AW - New job
Well I applied for a position right after getting back from the honeymoon to be an Executive Assistant with the head of the agency I work at. It sounded like a great opportunity for networking and everything.
I was offered the position last night and I took it. I am kind of nervous, just because I definitely do not want to stay in this type of position for more than a year or two. And being a glorified secretary is not my idea of a great job. But the chance to work with at the top with those that make the decisions, in any type of position is hopefully a good move.
I also made it very clear in my interview, that I want to go into another area eventually and am not looking to be a secretary forever, and the fact they offered me the position despite that makes me feel more comfortable about it. Hopefully I made the right decision!!
It sucks that the moment I move closer to my job that I will go right back to commuting another hour to an hour and a half each way every day though lol. Luckily I can take public transportation and be reimbursed though. I new the moment we moved, this would happen lol.
Anyways would love some knottie vibes on the new position that it will help my career track!!!

That is awesome JuJu! I think that sounds like a great career move, do it for a few years and then have a lot of connections/contacts to do something else.
Isn't it funny how life works out sometimes? At least you will be able to take public transit to the new job.
