So we bought a used 2007 Mazda CX-7 in October from Roger Beasley Mazda. On Friday night, my AC went out, and eventually the car started smoking/smelling like something was burning. We took it to a local place for them to check it out and were told my AC Compressor was toast. I basically needed to get the entire system replaced, and they quoted $1500.
I just hit 41k miles on the car, so it's technically out of warranty, but we decided to call Roger Beasley and see if they could do anything about it. They told us to bring it down and they'd take a look at it. We thought it was pretty ridiculous to have to completely replace AC on a 4 year old car. Our service guy was wonderful, listened to our rants and complaints, all with a smile and said he would get it taken care of.
Long story short, Mazda covered everything with the exception of one part, which cost us less than $100. Needless to say, they will be getting our business again, especially since DH will be looking for a new car in the next year or so. Hooray for not having to spend a ton of money on car repairs!!
