I am seriously considering getting back on BC since buying this new car. It seriously cut into my extra money, since I bought a car a little more expensive than I planned on. So I just think we need to have a little more protection to make sure we dont add another payment that will ride in the back seat of said new car.
I have tried the pill and had contstant bleeding and I couldnt remember to take it everyday, the ring caused too much discharge and DH woke up with it one day around his big toe. Funny story goes with that one. I liked the patch but broke out from the adhesive and it like all others lowered my sex drive, which I am not willing to give up. We plan to wait at least until next September to start trying. Has anyone tried vaginal contriceptive films or spermicides? Im looking for something with no hormones that are not condoms. We have been using the pull-out method for about 3 years with total sucess obviously, but we were also prepared to have a baby if thats what God saw fit for us. Since He hasnt so far, I would rather not tempt Him now while I would not be comfortable financially to bring another child into this world.
Re: What kind of BC have you tried or been on?
I have been on Yaz since having Lo and I love it. Every now and then I may forget to take it, but just double up or tell Joe to wrap Stan up hahahaahah buahahah. If you have problems remembering to take it, set your alarm on your phone, or associate it with something. I take mine nightly at 8:00 because thats what time Joe has to take his meds and its just something I remember. I also keep it where I can see it.
TMI but my periods are extremely light - almost non-existant. Sex drive is there, if anything I'm just tired from chasing Lo around.
I thought about Mirena but after my research, it scared me so I opted not to even try it.
I'm on seasonale, which is awesome because I only get my period every 3 months (12 weeks actually). BUT there is generally some spotting on that until your body gets used to it. Although if you want to try in September, it's probably not the pill for you.
I've used vaginal films before but just keep in mind they're more protection than using nothing but they aren't as good as the pill or a condom. And, the directions say (I can't remember) but you insert it and then need to wait a certain amount of time for it to dissolve or whatever. (It forces some foreplay though...)

LOL I am glad I am not the only wife to name her DH member. Stan huh!
This could be an interesting conversation to hear all the other names out there. LOL
