With our anniversary approaching on 8-8, I thought what better day to launch my cupcake blog than on my anniversary. Combining two of my many loves... Erik and cupcakes!!
The title will be a secret (ok, you guessed it... I STILL haven't picked a name but having a deadline will definitely force me to).
And.......... my first cross-country shipment is taking place on Monday.... I will be sick to my stomach until I get a call on Tuesday afternoon that they've arrived in one piece!!
But wait, there's more...... (haha - don't you feel like you're on The Price is Right???).... I'm having a cupcake and cocktails social at the end of August at my home. I'm going to have hundreds upon hundreds of cupcakes (various flavors/frostings/fillings/etc), frosting shots, a cupcake bar (where you can make your own cake/combination), and am asking friends to just bring an appetizer. Thinking of having a raffle/door prizes, too. Soooo... if you're local (or don't mind driving for cupcakes), let me know and I'll send you an invite!
Oh
- and I almost forgot... this weekend's trial-and-error cupcake will be
french toast with maple syrup topped with bacon. I know, it sounds
nasty - but I've heard that maple/bacon cupcakes are spectacular -- and
I'll try anything once.... well, twice.
I'll be sure to post an update by Monday.
Thank you, ladies, for encouraging me to start a cupcake blog and for always having such "sweet" things to say about my cupcake obsession!!

Re: XP: I've decided to start a cupcake blog...
Congrats Lisa! That's so exciting! Make sure you post your blog link when you launch it! I REALLY want to follow it!!! Do you have a website where you are selling your cupcakes?
OMG I would give just about anything to be there! Too bad it is so close to my start date in Boston! Not sure I should take any time off at the begining of the new job lol!!
