This guy came to the house last night and stupid me opened the door. DH gets mad at me when I do that, but I feel like if they know I'm home I'm being rude. He was trying to sell me an alarm - we already have one - he was claiming that our alarm is one that burglars are cutting lines to before entering the home so they don't go off. I asked DH later and he said that's not the truth with our alarm but now I'm totally paranoid. Also, I keep thinking - what if this guy was actually a burglar and not an alarm salesperson? He had a badge and a pamphlet and a t-shirt that had the GE logo on it but now I'm totally paranoid about someone breaking in!

I was going to suggest calling the company and seeing if they had a salesman in your area to help ease your thoughts.
Also if he turned out to be a legit salesman i would ask them about what he told you and if it was true.
and knowing me i would call my alarm company and see and if it not true then i would def let them know about what was happening.
