Yikes! I was just on a walk with my doggie and came across a guy laying in the bushes, passed out with his pants around his ankles! I walk when there's lots of other people walking so I discussed how awkward it was with the people in front of me. Then I called the police. Some onlookers were a little more dramatic than others. I just wanted to get out of there!
The cops called me a while later-as I continued on my walk. I was wondering, Would y'all have pressed charges? I absolutely did not because he hadn't harmed me in anyway; I have no idea about his situation, and what benefit would I have from pressing charges? I figured the police would know what to do with him on their own. I was listed as a witness. All I wanted was to get him off the trail so little kids didn't have to see that. YUCK!
So, this is kind of near US 1 and 64. Are there any nesties that walk around here pretty often? I need to find some girls to walk with! My hubby doesn't always want to go-he likes to do his house work after supper and I need some buddies!
: ) Hope y'all are havin' a good night!
Re: OMG-indecent exposure incident!!
Wow, that's a little uncomfortable! I'm not sure that I would have pressed charges because it didn't seem intentional, but I definitely would have called the police like you did.
I am pretty near you if you want a walking partner some times. I'm trying to run more (3 days a week) but I could stand to be active on non running days too
You have my cell #/email address so let me know if you want to get together.
whoa that is crazy! i think whether or not to press charges depends on whether he was like passed out w/his pants down.. like pp said, maybe he was peeing and keeled over or something... could be unintentional exposure ya know?
but if it was some creep laying in the bushes whacking it, then yeah, i would totally be pressing charges! lol
hahaha
The officer that called me after they got the man kept asking me in what condition I found him in. It sounded to me like he re-clothed himself before they got to him. It was strange bc I thought he was falling to sleep. After I called the police and before they arrived, one girl ran up on him and started screaming. She kept yelling, "is he dead?!" He never got up. It is my guess that he was tripping on something or very drunk and was using the bathroom, sick, fell over and passed out. Then he was singing himself to sleep. He had luggage near him and I think he was hard on his luck. If I see the man again, I will remember to press charges, but my first thought was "no, I just wanted him off the trail to protect others."
I would think it would be silly to press charges because he wasn't hurting anyone. I mean yeah he's naked, but everyone is naked sometimes (not that I'm condoning laying naked in bushes). If he was like rubbing up on me I would, but that's it.
I also live pretty close to there and I love to walk! I don't run though (unless I see a naked man in the bushes
