Poll: Bananas (the fruit)
DH and I CONSTANTLY have this arguement, although financially, it's an excellent problem to have.
I like bananas kinda green- firm, tart, and hard to open. DH does not. he only likes them yellow with start of ittybitty pin-point dots of brown. yuck!

haha i was going to click yellow, but then i saw the option for in my bread. definitely a huge fan of bananas in starchy items. mmmm. banana bread, banana nut muffins, banana pancakes. but not in smoothies. they pollute the flavor.
no friggin' way! banana + smoothies = SO EFFING DELISH!

if it's called a strawberry mango something or other that contains some bananas, the bananas are all i can taste! if i wanted a banana smoothie, i would have ordered a banana smoothie.
that's a lot of bananas there. haha.
ETA: but, my hubby and i have the same "issue" you and your DH have- he likes em green and i like them yellow. the only problem is there are never any yellow bananas because he eats them before they ripen! lol
I love yellow! hahaha
I was just watching the bananas episode of "Good Eats" and AB says that yellow with brown spots is when the banana is actually just starting to ripen.
Planning Bio - Woefully out of date
I can't stand them when they are too ripe, such as when they get the little brown spots. However, H will eat anything, so I know they will hardly ever go to waste.
We do love them in smoothies (then I can't tell if they are really ripe or not)
Me too! I just hate the flavor. & the stringyness of it inside things like muffins or bread grosses me out. My son loves them, he would eat them all day long if I let him.
I like them on the green side... when they are completely ripe, they get mushy. blech!
Oh- and I make a mean banana bread. I've gotten marriage proposals over it. Just sayin

banananaaaasss.
If I'm eating just the banana, I like it a little green so that they're firm.
If it's in smoothies or baking then I don't really care! I ALWAYS get banana in my smoothie. My favorite is Acai, pomegranate, blueberries and banana. Sometimes throw peach or pineapple in there too
My Planning Bio
I'm with you on this. I hate bananas. DH loves them and has one every morning. I hate the smell, I hate the taste, I hate them in smoothies, drinks, muffins and breads. I just stay far away from them.

Yellow with some green!
or a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwhich!!!!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMM
I do eat them with small green/mostly yellow and think they're great. But I love them the very best when they're all yellow but before the brown. Eww. Bruised bananas are ick.
