Beautiful sweet cat looking for a home!
In her words:
The cute little fella in the picture below is Grayson. He?s a young (around a year old) boy, with a beautiful soft silvery gray fur. He weighs 8 pounds, is disease-free and very, very affectionate with people. I was sitting on the deck Sunday afternoon when he walked across our yard and came up onto the deck. He likes to sleep on my lap when I spend time with him, and is ecstatic over food. Our vet will neuter him this week. He?d been out for a few days because he lunged at the food dish when we brought it to him, but not long enough to be terrorized by the experience and people.
Yes, we love cats, but six is more than a handful for us, and seven just puts us over the edge into insanity. We are looking for a good permanent home for him. If you or anyone you know would be interested in meeting this handsome little guy, please do let me know. In the meanwhile, he is resting from his adventures in the great outdoors down in our basement while the rest of our brood wonders what?s going on behind the closed door.

I'm no help with a home, but you could tell her she could consider craigslist, but also remind her (she may already know?) that she should take an application, screen potential adopters VERY carefully, and be sure to charge a fee.
