Sorry this is random, but I have a tax question that I'm hoping i can get some help with.
I work downtown, and we're currently renting in Mariemont. Mariemont is making me pay income tax to them, even though I pay to Cincinnati. From what I understand, this is actually pretty common in Cincinnati, but previously we lived near UC's campus so I wasn't aware.
We're looking to buy a house, and thinking about Fairfax, but I'm wondering if they have a similar tax structure? Anyone know?
Thanks!
Re: Anyone in Fairfax?
Yes, Fairfax does have an income tax also. According to this form, it is 1.75%.

Yes. Fairfax pays into the Mariemont taxes, so you'll be hit with the same tax structure.
Have you looked at Madison Place? I used to live in Mariemont, and went to Madison Place for the very same reason. Well, not exactly, there were other reasons too, but mainly taxes and affordabilty of homes. I didn't like the homes offered in Fairfax.
