Pot Luck and What to Wear Question!

My dance studio is having a 1st annual girls night out. We are starting at the studio with a pot luck and then going out dancing. The thing is I only started at the studio in January and while I know most of the girls and get along with them I feel somewhat intimidated by them. It's probably ridiculous I know but they all seem so stylish and fit and put together.

So basically what I want to know it what to wear. I'm not very trendy and most of my clothes is quite casual. Also I know they probably won't eat sweets so my usually "be the dessert girl" routine is probably not going to fly. Any suggetsions?

  • Why don't you make that buffalo chicken dip everyone is raving about?  I think it might be listed on FB; if not, someone will chime in with the recipe.

This, definitely!  It's always a hit when I make it for our parties.  Sounds like a fun night!

  • I've made fruit salad kabobs for parties a few times this summer, and they were always a big hit, even though they're the absolute easiest thing in the world.

It's just fruit salad, but on a skewer. I used pineapple, cantaloupe melon, and kiwis cut into large chunks and alternated them on a skewer along with strawberries. You could even serve them with chocolate or yogurt dip and still be the dessert girl, yet satisfy all those healthy eaters.

    Sounds like it'll be fun!

  • I'm late on this one, but that buffalo chicken dip really is fantastic.  I have the recipie if you're interested.  If they're a healthier crowd, bring a fruit tray or veggies and dip.  If you don't have time to do the cutting yourself, they have pre-made trays at the grocery store.

As far as the outfit... beats me!  I'm the least fashionable girl ever. :)
