bar suggestions?
A friend is visiting from Milwaukee, and I'm trying to think of a good bar to plan a get together for Thursday. Something laid back and casual, not too frat-tastic or overcrowded. Any area of the city is fine - indoors is preferred!

Really indoors because the rooftop and garden bars are so great. if you want some let me know. I am a total fan of the boat basin or the central park boathouse or battery gardens.
And there is enough room that it does not get too crowded. Inside bars. Ava lounge in midtown at the dream hotel is nice. There is a nice wine bar on Stone St... Flute, Pony bar, the bar at Spice Market or Buddakhan have great drinks.
