So I didn't end up sending that email because I was still hesitating on how it would come across. My coworker was back in the office today and I basically said out loud what I had written in here.
He apologized and said he realized he dropped the ball, and that he felt really bad when he realized he missed it. He blamed it on his blackberry, said he never noticed the email and was wondering why I hadn't sent it yet.
He sent out an apology email to my team.
I told him this morning that if this keeps happening, the team won't be willing to jump through hoops to get things done faster, and he said he understands, it's like the boy crying wolf.
So maybe this will actually stop happening... We'll see.
