I'm never helping Adam in the yard again. So all day Saturday, I decide that I actually WANT to help Adam in the yard. I'm pushing the mower (in a bikini because I'm super smrt) while Adam is cutting down dead tree limbs in the backyard. I get the entire half acre backyard cut. Later on that night, I realized that I'm covered head to toe in bug bites. When I get bitten by bugs, I swell up and look like a lumpy diseased freak. So I cover my entire body with hydrocortisone cream and be done with it. Sunday, we decide to do MORE yardwork. It was ridiculously hot outside so what do I do? Cool off with some refreshing beer and NOT drink water or gatorade. So I end up going to sleep by 8 that night and woke up around 4 in the morning super dehydrated and feeling like vomit. I told Adam he's on his own from now on!!
Re: Screw you, yardwork!!
Oh, no! I wondered where you were. Recovering, apparently. That sucks.
Just tell him that yardwork is man-stuff and stay inside and make him a big pitcher of lemonade or something as your contribution.
Borders. I'm in their rewards program, and I love it. It's a free membership, and once a week or so, they email me a coupon for 33% off any one item.
This time there was also a 50% off one book by Philippa Gregory, so I might feed my Tudor obsession while I'm at it. One of the categories on the NBC's Summer Book Challenge is to read about someone who was executed. That should be easy.
No, never read any Christopher Moore. I may have to give him a try... I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I run out of Sookie. There's plenty of other great stuff to read in the universe, of course, but the Sookie books fill my need for feel-good, funny, exciting, mindless entertainment so well. I may have to read Charlaine Harris's Sookie short stories, even though I don't like short stories very much.
Borders Rewards also work at Waldenbooks, I believe, in case you happen to have one of those.
