what to do, what to do?????

HI ladies.

Im needing some advice from all you wise ladies.

Im kind of in a turning point. My unemployment is ending in 3 months. I just registered for school (will grad aug 2011) yesterday. The books cost $300-$500 deppending on where I buy them. DHs unemployment got cut in half. He now makes less then I do monthly. They re-evaluated him.

I definitely need a full time job now. So now Im wondering if I should stick with the school thing and find a full time job. I also have my Tastefully Simple business too. That is picking up a lot too but not enough to make it a full time position.... yet! :)

I think it will come down to the money issue, as everything always seems to.

Any advice would be great!

Re: what to do, what to do?????

  • Sorry you're having to deal with all this! I would say that if you can go to school at night and/or flexible hours, I would definitely look for another job if you need it to make ends meet. Is school something that will potentially help you get a better paying job in the future? Could you look for employment in the field you're going to school for and then potentially be eligible for a promotion or pay increase when you finish school? That would be the ideal I think.

    Good luck!

  • Kim, sorry you are dealing with this.  School is important.  I would see if there is anyway you could go at night.  Maybe even just find a PT job to help and hopefully that in conjunction with Tastefully Simple that would be enough for awhile.  IF you need the full time job I would try to look in the field you are intersted in.  You do not want to end up like me working in a position that sometimes uses my degree but not always and stuck because you can't get a job in the field you want to be in.  HTH and Good luck!
