Goodbye, summer
I officially started my second year of med school today. I am already tired of studying, and I barely did anything. I guess summer is definitely over for me. 
I will definitely miss going to the lake, having a reason to get pedicures (helllooo people will see my feet!), and reading books for fun because I had the time.
What do you guys miss about summer when it's over?

Not too random. Nope- I thought about it in high school, but I didn't want that kind of intensity. It's nuts. I went to Mizzou for undergrad, and now I go to the University of Kansas, their med school is in KC.
Do you know someone that goes there? Most people don't really know about it.

Congrats to your sis! It definitely takes a motivated person to handle that course load all year around for 6 years. Ick.
Too bad about their dental program. I've heard it's ridiculously competitive (ha as if that isn't every dental program in the country).
Yeah, she's insanely smart.
) She's doing peds (which is really not a surprise since she's looooooved kids forever... like since she was a little kid herself). She's in L.A. at USC and loving it... well, as much as one can love spending one's time in the ED figuring out how a kid super-glued his eye shut... and how to unglue it! She thinks it was totally worth it mostly so she didn't have to take the MCAT.
Yeah, I was only a little serious about it. The kids who get into that are hard-core into it. I'm happy where I ended up tho. Wouldn't change that for the world.

we've been processing books for fall classes since july 1, so i'm pretty much past summer. boo!

I've been going to school non-stop since last September so I didn't really ever get a break from studying, but I'm going to set up my classroom tomorrow and giong over the new curriculum.
I'm definitely going to miss not having to deal with traffic and having days of putting things off and doing nothing productive.

I will be so ok with it when summer ends here, we had a record breaking day yesterday.... 108! Add in the heat index with it being southern Kansas and it felt like closer to 120! COME ON FALL!!!!
I refuse to listen to you all talk about the summer until it's officially the end of summer... which is not here yet (for me, at least)... so Zip it! LALALALALALALA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!
