    Any reports about the cost are just guesses.  I doubt it was $5 million.

    I thought she looked radiant, and so very happy.  Good for her.

    I also irrationally loved her dress. And it is entirely not my style either. Although I know it is all relative, the thought of spending 5m on a wedding makes me twitch.

    I read somewhere that the $5M figure was BS, that it was around $1M, and it included air transportation and lodging for guests. That I could see.

    $5M? I don't even know how to spend that much money on a wedding.

    I thought she looked so, so beautiful.  And I bet a lot of money was spent on security and transportation/logistics for the guests.

    Did you see the goodie bags for each guest?  Holy smokes - those alone were probably $100 a person.  And there were what, 400-500 people there?  I can see how they spend a million.  Five?  No.

    The only thing I would have done differently is put lighter lipstick on Chelsea.  Her mouth shape/size doesn't do so well with dark lipstick.

    If my dad could make $300-350 THOUSAND a day at speaking engagements, I might be a little butthurt if he didn't spend a million bucks on my wedding.

    Most of that could be security. It was a no fly zone with copters and planes. I imagine they could have spent 1 million on security alone.

    I LOVED the dress too.  So elegant.  I would imagine that an original Vera Wang couture gown would put a big dent in a $1M budget also...

    seriously?!?! why not get one $5,000 gluten free vegan cake, and one $5,000 regular damn cake.  and you still have $1000 left over. and no this wasn't a double post. I'm just outraged enough to post twice.  I would have been pissed if I went to that event and the only cake there was gluten free vegan cake.

    This too made me giddy and was all the talk at Synagogue this week. Even though she has said she is not converting.
