Mosque controversy continued....
Re: Mosque controversy continued....
It is a Community Center and Muslims died on September 11th just like other various persons with and without religion.
Unless the center plans on promoting violence against Americans or the creators are using parisioner's money to fund terrorism ... then as much as we don't want to think about it, this country was built on those running away for freedom of religion.
A catholic man can murder a family and yet a church will go up in the neghborhood without an eye blink.
I know people who were killed on Sept. 11th and work for an agency that was destroyed because of the attacks. But sometimes no matter how much one feels and their opinions, hating on Muslims that want to build a religious center is just as wrong as Muslims who kill our people. We need to be better than that.
I haven't even been paying attention to the whole controversy because, really, I think it's stupid.
I almost spit out my drink just now when I saw the building they wanted to have designated a landmark. Did they really think they'd get away with that?
I happen to agree completely with MissesMH.
