Anyone use Science Diet pet food?

I got a coupon in the mail for $5 off a bag, can anyone use this?

Re: Anyone use Science Diet pet food?

  • :( I just bought a large bag.  It lasts about 3 months for our cats.  But thank you!

  • I used to, but the Pets board told me that it isn't really that good for your pets. My kitties use an all natural food now. I can actually pronounce and recognize what's in their food.

Good to know, thanks. We don't use it either, but I don't want to just throw it away if someone can use it.

  • We do! I would love to use it if you are still offering. Can you PM me? Thanks!

Not trying to start anything, but the girls on that board are VERY opinionated. I'm not saying that some of them aren't correct but I have also been b!tched at by them for the kind of food I feed my dog....all the way to allowing my Greyhound on the bed. It was pretty ridiculous.

I started my Grey out on the best food you could buy, low residue from the vet for $80 a bag (which lasted us less than 2 weeks). His bowel issues continued. It turns out that he actually does extremely well on cheap ol Pedigree, and has had no issues since and my vet is happy with it!

OK, stepping off my box now....I just hate when people are made to feel badly for feeding their pets something other than the most expensive thing out there (or high protein, etc, which isn't good for all dogs). Do what works for your pets, there are very few things that can't be changed up! :D

Oh, it's totally a matter of preference. My kitty was having some serious stomach trouble and the board suggested I use an all natural food for his stomach. It worked like a charm.

But I do feel better feeding my kitties something that has ingredients I know and can pronounce, and isn't full of chemicals or artificial stuff.
