Weekend Getaway in Nov.

I'm trying to plan a weekend getaway for my anniversary.  It's in November so It will be a bit chilly.  I was thinking maybe NYC.  We go to VT almost every weekend in the winter so I'm trying to stay away from skiing type weekends.  Any suggestions?  TIA!

  • I would do NYC. We did that one year. The days were gorgeous, nights were cold so it worked out, weather wise!

I think you are right, that will be our best bet.  Every time I go to NYC I see a show and I know DH is not interested in shows.  He does like museums so maybe we will check out some museums.

     Thanks!

  • One fall we went to Stonington CT and stayed in a little inn.  They have a few wineries in the area you can go to and tastings while sitting by the fire.  It's nice on a crisp autumn day.  Don't know if that interests you but we had fun.
  • We're doing NYC after Thanksgiving so we can see all the holiday stuff. I've never been at that time of year so I'm really excited. Maybe hold off on the trip a week or so if you're interested in the tree lights, etc....?
  • Just did NYC for my sister's B-day.

    We had a fabulous time!

    Lunch at Becco, yum

Dinner at Burger Bar, inexpensive and yum!

Brunch at the Mandarin Oriental... not inexpensive, but still YUM

We also enjoyed walking around Central Park and the Met. (museum, not opera) was amazing.

Shopping in SOHO is also a blast!

  • I don't have any suggestions, I just wanted to say congrats on your BFP! I will be crossing everything for you for a long and healthy pregnancy :-)
