I loved it! It was an initial session that she usually takes 90 minutes on so we have lots of time to talk about everything, but neither of us was in a rush so we spent 2 and a half hours together. I figured that if I was going to do it I may as well throw in all my other issues to work on too (lots of digestive issues, reproductive issues, anxiety, stress, etc) so we not only talked a lot about my body, but I was so interested in the herbs, methods of acupuncture, how she got started doing this that we chatted for the entire time it seemed.
My low back started to bother me about 3 weeks ago and I let it go until I was moved to tears by standing or sitting. That was last Monday and I went to the chiropractor immediately. I felt better but this weekend it got worse and I was happy to have another chiro appt yesterday and my acupunture appt. On top of it I'd been irritable and lethargic (which just made me more irritable).
After her assessment of me - apparently your tongue says a lot about your health - we began. My circulation was poor so she burned moxa on my legs to help. Instantly I felt 'life' moving through my body, it was amazing. We did some needles on the front, then some in my back and she used more moxa on my back to relieve the tightness (my muscles are insanely tight).
I got home last night and had more energy than I'd had in a VERY long time. I'm still quite energetic this morning. My back is okay, but far from good. It'll take a while to get it right. The most bizarre thing....she told me to drink a lot of water since we'd released a lot of toxins, so I did and in turn peed a lot last night. And my pee smelled like the herbs! HOW is that possible?!? I am blown away by this experience. I'm going back on Thursday and can't wait!
Re: FU to Acupunture - AH-mazing
I'm so glad to hear everything went wonderful! If it was covered by insurance I would love to go to it for my anxiety and stress issues, but it's too expensive for us at the moment.
Great to hear it was a success!!!

Amy! I'm SO glad it worked wonders on you and left you feeling so great. I've been curious about acupuncture for ages and may try it if this baby is past his due date
