Anyone know of well known companies that offer jobs that allow you to work from home? For example, I thought I remember hearing that Jet Blue representatives work from home. I hope to possibly find something next year. There are no opportunities in my immediate area and searching on careerbuilder/monster/etc. just bring up a lot of sales jobs or gimic postings. If anyone knows of companies that offer this, please let me know. Thank you!

Re: Work From Home Jobs
Most work from home CS reps works as contractors or independent businesses through larger agencies hired by the companies. I believe Jet Blue is one of these. I looked into this recently and the agencies required you have a specific operating system (XP, Vista, etc.) dependent on what they run, seperate phone line from your home phone that's not cable or internet provided, and some of them make you pay for a background check. Then you would take a non-paid certification (which some charged you for) to get certified to work with them, as well as take non-paid training to test for any company you wanted to work for. Each project may last days or weeks, but from what I understand non are really long-term.
I just couldn't figure out if the pay would be worth it after paying the phone line, taxes (taken at self-employed rate if you incorporated), possibly certification and background check, and figuring in the time worked unpaid to vie for individual jobs or have "training" meetings.
I decided it wasn't for me, but if you like I can pm you the names of the companies I looked into so you can do some research yourself.
