We're having a birthday party for Ian at the end of the month. It's mainly an excuse to have our families over. I wasn't planning to have a theme but I'm getting bugged enough about it that I've started to think about it. The kid's only one though. Sure, he likes Elmo, but if he catches sight of a Tupperware while he's playing with his Elmo balloon, he makes a bee-line for that.
So, what do you think about themes for a one-year old's birthday party? I'm thinking of just going with the number one as the theme.
Re: Birthday party themes
I think you have your answer right there.

Why do people bother making/buying kids toys? Kids always want the cheapest most random thing to play with.
As for themes I'd have to copy Noisy and her Hungry Caterpillar party simply because the cookies Vicki made we were too cute for words.
11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
I'm Thising all over November's post.
and Bethie, I can't wait to see what Donkey's newest blog is all about (but I have stupid payroll to get in today). THANK YOU.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I read this as EMO party. Now that would be funny.
I was looking at the Party City website recently and they had a bunch of Elmo/Sesame Street 1st Birthday stuff. I think a bunch of the kid stuff was on sale.
I think I got E's stuff from here-

A catalog mysteriously showed up at my house like every parenting magazine known to man after I gave birth.
Brilliant. Everyone wins.
