They sent my mom to the hospital for dehydration, I dont know what else is going on and dont have a way to get up to see her until DH gets home, which wont be for about another hour. Please send T&P to my momma, this is scary, just how it started before my Dad died.

    Mom is in total renal failure, but the doctor suspects that it is acute and not chronic, and that with taking away some of her meds and getting fluids back in her that it should reverse. The doctor came in himself to see her last night around 10 PM and said that she was in pretty serious condition and that they had to move her to the ICU, but was confident that dialysis right away was not necessary.  I didnt realize this but when your body stops functioning in that way your organs can often blister with poison....well my mom was in such a bad way that her skin had started to blister to try to expel the junk that her kidneys weren't flushing out. I was up there till 11 after they moved her, and I will be going up there when my MIL gets here to watch Monk for the day....

    They will be starting Dialysis as soon as possible, her potassium level and stuff is not coming down. They also believe she has a blockage in her kidney. Because of her history of blood clots and being on coumadin though they had to try to thicken up her blood before they put in the PIC line...so we are waiting for info on that before the surgeon comes to do that. This is very stressful and scary...I need lots of thoughts my way to stay strong.
