I can not get this story out of my head.

Did you all hear about the horrible crash that was in Fulton Co this week?

The guy (he was a year younger then DH in school and went to DH's school). He lost his dad about 4 or 5 years ago to a massive heart attack. Now he just lost his mother and 4 month old son in the car crash the other day. He is getting married in October to the baby's mother. The baby was a premie (only weighing slightly over 2lbs) so he just came home from the hospital recently.

I guess he was first on the scene (he is an ER nurse/volunteer firefighter) and it was only a mile from his house. I have also heard that the carseat was ripped to shreds (basically both vehicles are going 50+ miles an hour and hit head on).

I can't get this tragic story out of my head. It would have to take one very strong in faith person to move past something like this. I can't even imagine what the parents are going through. This poor guy has lost his father, mother, and only child on the last few years. Just horrible.

  • Wow, that is so terrible.  I can't even imagine what he is going through.  He will need many thoughts and prayers to help him through this time.

  • Oh my goodness.  How unimaginable.

I cannot believe I hadn't heard this.  But then again I barely watch the news anymore.

So, the grandma had the baby with her??

Yes. The grandma just picked the baby up from the house, so they were only a mile away when it happened.

  • That's horrible. I haven't heard that. Poor family. I hope they have a lot of support and can move past this.

It hasn't been said yet. I guess the guy that was driving the other car that also died was a "loser" and an alcoholic so there is some speculation that he was drunk. But again, that is all hear say so who knows. I just pray it wasn't bc of drunk driving, but just a horrible horrible accident.
