Happy Hump Day! How is everyone? Anyone have any confessions or anything they feel like spilling today? Any questions you feel like asking me? I need as much company as I can get! I'm all alone here in my department for the rest of the week and I'm going crazy without any interaction.
My poor little sister is having her first heartbreak. She and her boyfriend have been together for about two years and they broke up last night. She's the most emotionally stable out of the three of us (lol) (myself and my two sisters) and I've never seen her like this before. I don't even know what to do! Apparently they still love each other and want to be together... I just don't get the situation and I feel so bad.
On a good note, today was the second day in a row I had time to stop for a Starbucks! What a treat!
I'm thinking of starting a blog... but I need ideas on what site I should use, what I should call it... themes etc. Creativity is not something I was blessed with by any means. I can write, but that's about it. Haha.
Re: XP: Good Morning! Buenos Dias! :)
Hey MrsO! Happy hump day to you! I'm doing okay today. I got Alex to nap in his swing just now, so I'm free for the next 20-30 minutes! I can't believe maternity leave is over in only a week. How have you adjusted to working? What was the hardest part? How often are you pumping? Did going back to work affect your supply?
Sorry to hear about your little sister. Heartbreak sucks. They always affected me pretty significantly.
As for the blog, I'm clueless about blogs so I'll let someone else respond to that one.
Hi!
We finally got Amelia's room put together last weekend
. We moved in Mar. and just dumped everything into her room as storage, thinking we wouldn't need it for 4 months. We are going to be moving her into her room soon so we needed to clear out our storage stuff.
Sorry to hear about your sister. Do you live near each other? Maybe you could take her out for dessert and wine or a mani/pedi to help cheer her up.
I am clueless on blogs. I have thought about starting one too but am afraid I will start strong and fizzle quick like most of my other recent hobby attempts.
Hi!
Well, being selfish and wanting more pictures of Jake, I would say you should blog about him (haha). For blogging, I use Blogger since it's linked to Google. I find it the most user-friendly. WordPress *can* be more appealing if you're hoping the blog will be more professional someday, but just for sharing online with friends/family, Blogger is great. My blog is linked in my signature if you want an example. That was all designed using Blogger templates too -- no extra creative energy on my part!
I'm under a tight deadline with my editior. I need to send her this final draft of an article by tonight. So, of course, I'm Nesting.
DH and I leave for Vegas tomorrow, which is super exciting. We're both in desperate need of a vacation...
Hi!! I love how that feels... getting a few minutes to yourself to do what you want while baby naps.
Wow! I can't believe you go back to work already! Time really does go by too fast. I've adjusted to working just fine, and as the emotional difficulty has passed, I still find it incredibly hard to leave him all day.
It's sooo hard in the mornings because he's in such a good mood and he's so cuddly and cute and warm and I just want to stay home and cuddle with him. I am pumping three times per day at work and my supply has been perfect up until about a week ago it started to slack a bit. I attributed it to the cold I had, because then it came back up for a few days, and again today it's low again. I think it's just because I'm not around him very much.
We'll see though.

Do you have pictures of her nursery??
Yeah... my sister actually lives with us. She moved in about a month ago. Funny you say that because we're going for pedis today lol.

Hi!
That's so sad about your sister
I hope they can work things out... and if not, I hope she feels better soon. Breakups are so hard, especially when its your first. I thought I would never survive breaking up with my first love
(But I did!)
YES! You must start a blog... use blogspot, that's what I use. It's easy to use. I saw over on GP that a couple of Monkey themed ideas were thrown out there- Love that idea!
I confess that I just made a baby name voting list...for my nonexistent baby.

Haha well Jake will definitely be a part of it. I'm thinking of just making it a life blog. I'm thinking of calling it "Monkey See, Monkey Do" after Jake.
Everyone I've asked has recommended Blogger or BlogSpot, so I need to check both out.
I'm so jealous you're leaving for Vegas tomorrow!! I was going to do Vegas for my 25th birthday, but it's Labor Day weekend and it got really expensive. Now we're doing Tahoe.

We haven't taken nursery pics yet - that is one of my projects for this weekend once our guests leave.
Hopefully you girls had a great time getting pedis (although it is kind of hard not to enjoy being pampered!)
Hey MrsO - good luck with the blog. I think its a great idea. Blogger/Blogspot is really easy to use. That's what I did mine on, you can play around with the themes and colors and such. You can also download backgrounds and stuff for more choices from sites like cutest blog on the block. The new Blogger editor really helps because you drop in pictures where you want them instead of having them all go to the top and having to drag them through your post.
