Lila has 7 red angry spots on her and I'm waiting for the doctor's office to open up so i can take her in. I noticed them yesterday after I picked Lila up from daycare, Nonna says none of the other kids have had chicken pox or red spots at all. My SIL looked at them and thought they looked like chicken pox, but no more sprung up overnight.
However, my sister's kid, who we saw this past weekend at the cottage, had flea bites all over his legs from their indoor/outdoor cat. When i say all over, i mean the kid looked like he was attacked by something. They treated the house and the cat, but is it possible they could still be around on the humans in the house? Can you see them? There are no pets at Nonna's or our house, but could they be in Lila's clothes or her blankie even though i can't see any?
I'm trying to tell myself that fleas are a fact of life when you own pets, but it's really just another thing for me to add to my list of reason's my kid shouldn't be around my sister's kids.
Re: Fleas or chicken pox?
Did they treat thoroughly for fleas and get the eggs and stuff, too? Fleas are a biitch to get rid of if you're not vigilant for at least a month, especially if there's still a pet present that can keep feeding them.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.

So fleas are mini vampires? Makes sense.
Saw Dr., it's definitely not chicken pox, he was doubtful about fleas, too, as they presented as bumps not actual scabby bites...does that make sense to you Cali?
Anyways, he gave the all clear to go to Nonna's and said keep an eye on them and a count going to see if she gets anymore and where she is when it happens.
did the doc think they were from an insect or maybe a rash reaction? does she have allergies? does Nonna have bed bugs?
poor you. I thought you'd be lucky enough for Lila to have the pox and then you could sell her items on ebay to weirdo mothers who want to expose their kids. it could have been a goldmine.
