I'm ready for my Mother of the Year award

I had Natalie on my bed with me yesterday. She loves hanging out on the bed with me. Well, she got a little close to the edge of the bed yesterday. I just told her "be careful" and went to grab her when she went toppling over. She smacked her forehead on the metal piece that holds the box springs up. Now she has a small cut on her forehead and a bit of a goose egg. I called the doctor and he told us what to watch for if something was wrong but she's ok, thankfully. I checked on her like 5 times last night and kept her up an hour past her bedtime because I was worried.

I felt so horrible. I should never have let her get so close to the edge. I'm just thankful she is ok. I keep picturing in my head her falling and smacking her head. I was so freaked out. ugh.

  • Stuff like that happens...and I bet shes not too young to learn how to get down off of things by going down on her belly. Monk learned that really super fast after a fall off our couch.

  • They usually fall a few times before they learn how to get down off stuff, I think every kid has fallen off something.
