Wow - must be in some state that has absolutely no common law marriage laws - weird.
I dont think anyone is getting the full story here or else that guy would be in jail - cross state kidnapping (even with 'joint' custody) is still a serious offense that would have FBI and stuff on their tails...

,p>I agree 100%, that was the first thing that came to my mind while reading this story.

A10 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination: San Francisco!
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the lady that was a little cuckoo. It would have been difficult for him to get a marriage license in Florida if the marriage to his first "wife" was valid. They got married in Italy and probably never had it done in the U.S. so it wasn't a true legal marriage (even though they may have been living as though they were). And many states, including Florida, don't recognize common law marriage.
So they've been going through separation and he marries someone else in the meantime and has at least enough custody of the kids to take them to Florida w/out it being a crime evidently. Not COOL to not tell her about it, but it kinda seems like he did.
IDK, I run into a lot of crazy ladies (and gentlemen) in my line of work who would definitely exaggerate some shiz like this to get custody/money/whatever it is they want.
Wow that was long, sorry
How TERRIBLE!
I think both sides in this story have problems...seems like they are obsessed with getting attention...I too feel sorry for the kids. I can't believe the news is as all over this as it is..isn't there more important news they could be reporting on??
I too agree that the whole double marriage thing is definitly NOT okay, if that is what it is....
