Wow - I'm a little scared...
So after ericandcindy's poll about boards that other people post/lurk on, I decided to play around and see what's out there. A couple that were mentioned were Family Matters and Relationships. All I can say is WOW! I would be terrified to ever post anything there. The majority of the responses just rip apart the OP. I think I'm just going to stay right here...and a little on the Wisconsin board!

What seems to happen a lot of times is the regs bounce from board to board. So when they see the same sort of stories over and over again, they tend to just tell the OP straight up. Sometimes it can sound and even be really harsh. But many times it's sound advice and the OP may even come back another day and thank them for being so honest.
Different boards have very different dynamics which is why it's probably a good idea to lurk before posting. Just because the you think the title of the board means one thing, the regs may treat it as something else entirely.
No I totally agree. Sometimes it just goes way too far. There are definitely some mean people out there who hide behind their computer to just be plain mean.
