Who's already excited about the State Fair?

ME! I missed it last year with DH being gone so this year I've already emailed DH so he can put it on his calendar. And I even placed it on my work calendar so my afternoon is free in case I need to leave early.

I am!

Last year Me and DH had gone to a Metallica Concert in Charlotte and hit it on the way back but we could only stay for like 2 hrs so we missed a lot of it. Hopefully this year we can actually go up there and spend a while.

I'm excited! We had fun last year, but it was soooooooooo crowded. We may have to go on a weeknight which is fine because we live right down the street now. The weekend that it is running is the same weekend as the Pumpkin Festival back home. In the grand scheme of things, the Pumpkin Festival is nothing, but I love it, and I loveeeeee pumpkin ice cream.

I've only been once in the 11 years that I've lived in NC, but I had a great time and am hoping to go again this year. Most of my grad school classmates are from out of state, so I'm hoping to get a group together to go to the state fair this year. They've got to get to the fair as long as they're living in NC!

Excellent, I was wondering if your DH was still in the states or if he had to go back for another tour.

I've never been to the State Fair...sounds like fun but I know fairs are a good place to blow some $$$ and we're trying hard to save!

I looooove fair food. Next year my sister's getting married the weekend of our county fair in ohio, and I'm so excited! I love apple dumplings!!!! Do they have them at the State Fair?

We've actually never been to the State Fair here! I hear amazing things about it and we are super excited to go this year....it's on my calendar and damn't I'm not going to miss it!

We went last year, not sure if we will be going this year. I am still trying to decided if I want to submit a photo for the photography competition.
