Sea World

DH are thinking about going to San Antonio and we would look at hitting up Sea World while we're there.  Is Sea World adult friendly?  We've never been and don't know what it's all about.  Is it like a big zoo for aquatic things?

Re: Sea World

  • DH and I went to Sea World in Orlando and we loved it.  They have Beer too!
  • DH and I have been to San Antonio several times. We went to Sea World and loved it. We went to some of the shows and fed the dolphins. We went in January and there were not many people so it was great.

I highly recommend going to the River Walk one night. It is one of our favorite places to go. It is very romantic and beautiful. We do at least one dinner there every time we go. LOVE IT. They also have horse drawn carriages that are a big hit around the River Walk area.

I think that's one of the things that excites me most about San Antonio.  If we go, we'd stay in a hotel on the River Walk.  Am I correct in saying that it's best to go in the evening?

  • It's more romantic in the evening (depending on where you are on the walk--there are some bars and clubs along the walk as well), but it's nice no matter what IMO.

If you want to stay at a hotel on the RW, I'd recommend La Mansion del Rio.  I've never stayed there myself, but the architecture and design is beautiful.  Plus, it's actually on the RW unlike some hotels that state it in their name but really aren't.

Also, do you like haunted houses?  The Ripley's haunted house across from the Alamo is terrifying!  Highly recommended :)

  • At night it is very romantic. We never did any of the boat rides but we just walked along the the water and it was great.
