April 2010 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Our friends are getting married and moving to NYC (from San Diego). We wanted to get them a gift certificate for something in NYC, but we are drawing a blank.
I wanted to get gift certificates for broadway or off-broadway, but the official site sell those for $155 each (too much for us!).
Anyone know of other sites or can help us brainstorm other ideas???

Re: Help: NYC-savvy girls!
Do you know what area they are moving to? I'd say a GC to a local restaurant. I'm happy to help and brainstorm though.
You could also consider a GC to a zoo or museum pass or something like that.....
ditto laura - if you know the area, i'll help to suggest some restaurants...
some well-known ones that i recommend: carmine's (its in the theater district - family style italian food, huge portions), serendipity (midtown for great desserts), and junior's (the famous cheesecake - also near the theaters), otto (a mario batali restaurant - lower east side i think?)
