I am SO happy this is the way we decided to go because I look at albums of my friends' weddings and they make me a little sad. It's like you spend all of this time, money, effort, blood, sweat, and tears and all you get is one day?? Not even a full day! Usually it's just 4-6 hours! Whereas a DW gives you a whole weekend or even a week. And it's not just a ceremony, reception, and it's over. You have welcome parties and multiple dinners and excursions.
My friends have had some BEAUTIFUL and unique weddings, but they seem to be over so fast. It's like the night ends... so does the wedding. I think everyone should have 3-4 day weddings!
Re: I Could Never Have a Non-DW Wedding
Right? And I'm not a center of attention whore but it was nice to be able to spend all that time with friends and family uninterrupted. If I had to do it all over again I would have done it exactly the same.
Plus I was thinking the other day that now I want to vacation all over the place after seeing some of your locations.
I totally agree!! Looking back I have NO regrets on where we chose to get married. Actaully if I could do it again we would have only taken 2 people and stayed longer!

I got to be a total AW at my 4 day, ab-fab DW.
And I enjoyed every minute of it.
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

I couldn't agree more! My face literally HURT when we got home from smiling so much! I kept being told that I was nothing but a bit walking smile!
But it seems as though my friends have been following suit somewhat...we've had 2 Vegas weddings, & 1 Orlando wedding. Too bad we can't afford to go to them though.

Totally agree! We and everyone who went with us still talks about it ALL the time. So much fun.
In Vegas? Can I come?!!?!?!
