Four legged family member Friday
We haven't done this in a while.
What's up with your pets?
Re: Four legged family member Friday
Boston is good. DH has been traveling for work a decent amount lately, so he's been missing him (he rough-houses w/ Boston way more than I do).
He's loving summer. We take him to the cottage a lot on weekends and he loves to swim. We taught him to jump off the dock after a frisbee/stick this summer.
Wow, I never talk about our dogs! They have been very good lately so I will give them a shout out. They are SO good with Hudson letting him climb all over them and love on them. Cooper, our fawn boxer, is my cuddler. He is so soft and lovey. Chloe is the white boxer and very sweet, although she can have some separation anxiety and still have to cage her up with Cooper so she doesn't pee in the house.
Yay! I love this thread. Great stories and great pictures. Goodgollie, your dogs are adorable! gvsu, that's funny about your FIL and Ozzie watching the "traffic". Wop, sorry to hear you've been having troubles with Houston being naughty.
My cats are doing okay. We've been really busy lately and they haven't been getting the attention and cuddles that they feel like they require. Zoey has acted out a bit (she chewed up some wires which she does when she's pissed), but they're both being extra lovey too. This morning I woke up to one cat on my chest and the other cat cuddled up under my arm next to me. I love kitty cuddles (although, perferable not directly on my chest).
Jinx's health problems continue to add up. Last week, the vet told us that she recommends that she have her teeth cleaned because there's a lot of tartar/plaque. General anesthesia would be required for that. However, Jinx also has a heart condition which makes anesthesia more dangerous for her. I got a second opinion and was told that she does in fact have a "slightly elevated risk" when undergoing anesthesia but she'll "probably be okay". So now we're trying to decide what to do. If we don't have the teeth cleaned, they could get worse and potentially get infected which could also affect her heart. If we do get them cleaned, there is a chance that the anesthesia could be very dangerous for her. This cat stresses me out.
Gordie is sick but I guess it's just a virus. He's had the big D for a couple of days and yesterday and today was really lethargic - very slow to get up and very slow moving and not moving at all. The vet told us to keep him on a bland diet and make sure he's still eating and drinking and he should be back to normal soon. What's strange is that I had a stomach bug that knocked me out M-W - cross species virus?
Toby is . . . . Toby. He didn't understand that his brudder (this is how I imagine Toby saying "brother") was sick and kept shaking toys in his face. He apparently sleeps on the couch when we're at work because I've been coming home to large drool marks on the furniture. I also found him eating a red Solo cup the other morning - the first non-food related item he's decided to chew on in months.
