Wedding shower...wasn't invited?

I just found out that tomorrow is SO's brother's fiancee's wedding shower. The only reason I even found out at all is because SO just asked his brother if they could watch our dogs while we're OOT this weekend. His brother was surprised we had other plans. SO told him we never got an invite & his brother said she's just been telling people about it by word of mouth. I guess she forgot about me?

We aren't changing our plans. Would you? I feel kinda bad but I am certain I had never heard anything about it until today. I don't forget stuff like that. I am going to her bachelorette party in a few weeks. I was invited to that on FB.

I wouldn't worry...if its that bad that she's inviting people by word of mouth then don't feel bad that you made plans and didn't know about it...kind of sounds like poor planning on her part and a lot of disorganization.

I wouldn't feel bad or change plans, especially because you just found out today. The hostess should have sent out invitations.

I wouldn't change my weekend plans, and I can't see how the bride would be upset about that in this situation. You *just* found out about the shower. You can't be expected to drop everything, you have other plans. And don't take this the wrong way, but if the bride thought it was really important for you to attend the shower, wouldn't she have made sure you were invited more than a day in advance? Don't feel guilty.

I wouldn't feel bad. My weekends get booked out weeks in advance. If she wanted you and other people there then an invite should have been sent 4-6 weeks before. It is such bad etiquette.
