Hello ladies,

Me and the hubs will be celebrating our first anniversary in a little over two months, and I was just wondering what you all did to celebrate one year of marriage?

We are probably going to take a small trip, but we haven't booked anything yet.

    You guys may not be into bed and breakfasts, but if you are, here is the nicest one we've been to- and we've been to a lot of them! This place is gorgeous!

    We also went to a bed and breakfast type thing. We went to The Inn Above Onion Creek and it was wonderful. You get breakfast and a gourmet dinner. It's also near lots of fun wineries and the san marcos outlet malls! We stayed in the Hays room and it was fabulous.There are hiking trails and a pool (we went in march so it was a little chilly for the pool). They also have a spa.

    If you're going the B&B route, check out Fredericksburg!  We stayed at an awesome one - Cherry Street - last year and loved it.  It has a private hot tub too.  :)

    We took a weekend trip to San Diego, but only because we have the advantage of flight benefits. Otherwise we would have done something local, like Fredricksburg or San Antonio. We also thought about Colorado Springs, which is one of my favorite spots!

    We had dinner at the French Room and ordered a replica of the top tier of our wedding cake to eat when we got home.

    We took a trip with another couple to Texas Renaissance Faire which is close to Houston. The other couple were members of our wedding party. I got a cake the size of our top layer that looked like our bottom layer and the same flavor as the groom's cake since my hubby didn't get any of it. We went to Benihana for dinner.

    Dinner and a night at a nice hotel. I didn't even get to drink champagne!  But it was still a wonderful evening.

    Ours is coming up too!  We are going to dinner at 560 and have drinks at the Melrose too (our venue).  I wanted to stay there but we are staying at the Stoneleigh the weekend before for a wedding.  And of course we will eat the rest of our wedding cake (we already had some of it Valentine's Day.)
