Open Letter Friday...

Dear Bridesmaid aka Ex Best Friend,

I'm sorry we've had a falling out, but you have decided to continue to act like we're in high school.  That was 4 years ago.  I'm over it.

I did not "use" you for my wedding.  At that point, I still thought you were my friend.  Might I remind you, also, that I paid for your dress, your shoes, and your gifts.  You paid to have your nails done.  I also fed you twice that day and put up with your tantrums about not liking that much green and the dress not being tight enough to show off enough curves.  Hmmm.

I'm livid at you because you think 11 years entitles you to walk all over me.  Well, it doesn't.  So -- have a nice life!

Dear Hubby,

Thank you for being so supportive while my social life is doing back flips faster than I can see them.  It means everything to me that I have someone who loves me and thinks I'm doing the right thing.  I love you!

Re: Open Letter Friday...

  • Dear Jekyll Island,

I know that DH was awesome at his interview today, so please call him first thing Monday morning and offer him the job he wants. It would be a huge boost to his morale to be able to leave the chaos of his current position. It would also make me oh so happy because then our offices would be right across the yard from each other so even though we'd still be working different shifts we could actually eat dinner together most nights.

    Love, Jeannie

    Dear Husband,

Please, please, please be ok with us getting the second dog I want. She deserves to have a good home and Boston Terriers are your favorite.

    Love, Wifey

  • Dear husband's job,

I wish you were in the same town I got to school in and we live in.  It stinks that he has an hour long drive to get home.  It really cuts into social time.  I'm missing a party because I'm waiting for him to get home.  It would be great if you could just appear in this town for the next year so I can have my husband at a decent hour every night.  Thanks.

    Dear husband,

I am so thankful that you sacrifice and drive back and forth to work so I can go to grad school.  Thank you for seldom complaining.  Thanks for not being mad when I want to do things...but I wish you weren't so lovable and fun to be around so I didn't feel so bad everytime I want to leave you home alone.

    Your wifey
