slow saturday, anyone here?

Hey ladies! Don't think there has been a single thread all day. Everyone must be so busy & having fun.

I have dinner in the oven so H is anxiously awaiting those enchiladas. What is everyone else doing?

Re: slow saturday, anyone here?

  • I'm taking a break from packing for our camping trip this week. Just had dinner, but enchiladas sound delicious!!
    Julia
  • Yes, they were yummy. H really liked them.

Where are you guys going camping? I miss being able to camp with our friends.

  • We go to Bruin Lake up by Pickney, Michigan. Its really nice up there and its far enough away from the bigger towns and cities, but not so far that theres no civilization.  Its really cool because the last time we went camping with our friends we got engaged and now we're married. We're looking forward to a relaxing week.

  • I have never been up to Michigan to camp, but been around places in Ohio. That sounds really relaxing and peaceful. Camping is always such a cheap and fun getaway. Enjoy your week =)

  • Camping sounds fun...H's girls have never been camping and we want to take them - hopefully we can find cheap camping gear so we can go enjoy the nature.  I made enchiladas one day this week, I was sick and did not have any...and they never stick around long.

  • Popping in... I cleaned and organized closets and cabinets all day.  I think I FINALLY found a home for all of our wedding gifts.  Jealous about the camping... and the enchiladas (although I enjoyed my McD's.  It will be my last for awhile since I'm healthin it up now that I'm starting back to work).

I am going to a sports bar to watch the UFC fight.  No, I don't know who is fighting.  No, I don't follow UFC.  But apparently it's the thing to do tonight.  H is already there.  Let me just finish my wine...

  • Sooo jealous about the enchaladas, but also insanely jealous about camping.  I wanted to go before I got busy with school again, but it wasn't in the cards for us this summer.  :)

Amber, I almost went to watch the fight at a bar tonight too!  But then I got a little drunk at home.  Too much wine with dinner because our new glasses are MUCH bigger than the old ones.  Oopsy.  I think the evening will turn out a-ok though!  Have fun!

  • Also, thank you missy for making sure we don't go a whole day without a post!

oh man, the lakes near Pickney are my favorite. we used to go to Silver Lake allllll of the time when i was little- in fact my bro and SIL just had my niece's bday there last weekend. small, full of families, and so clean. Livingston county takes such good care of their metro-parks- and they have so many that you never get bored when you do camp in the area. Kensington is a pretty good park even for day trips. :)

I've never been to Kensington. And Silver Lake is nice. I think I went there with my family when I was little. Up at Bruin Lake, we like to take the channels and go to the other lakes. We found a really nice swimming lake called Blind Lake. It was so pretty!! We're going there again.

  • I'm here now, just got in, but doubt anyone is around now.

Had a 2yo bday party.,..and then had to go pick up J's car from the hotel he is staying at tonight. He is in a bridal party 2morrow, so they are crashing there, so I lost him 4 2nite again lol

No problem. It would be a shame, huh?

Yeah, H & I had a few drinks, too. Feeling a little tipsy. Getting ready to head to bed.

  • I just popped in but heading to bed now since I have class again in the morning.

Jealous of the camping and all of the drinking girls.  It's been a long day.
