Forgive me for not putting a PIP but I'm technologically retarded so just picture a little red fox with a very fluffy tail and you get the mental image of what our sweet Daisy looks like!
We picked her up yesterday morning and she just fit right in immediately. She ate and drank and knew to go potty when we brought her outside and she took to me and DH instantly. She follows me around the house (I just took a shower this morning and when I pulled back the shower curtain she was lounging on the bath rug waiting for me). She's just a little lovebug and we both ADORE her. DH was saying this morning it's like she's lived here all her life. Haha. So happy to have her be part of our little family now!
Also, not sure if I mentioned this but our adoption coordinator was Shelly Bookwalter - if you've ever watched Last Chance Highway on Animal Planet you'll know who she is. She's the lady who coordinates the dog rescues for southern dogs to transport them up to their new northern homes. We watched a few episodes yesterday and it was so cool to see her in action. DH had talked with her on the phone and we've both emailed with her re: our little furbaby. It's just amazing the work she does. Anyway, if you happen to catch an epi on Animal Planet sometime, watch it! New episodes are on Saturday nights at 8:00 but they had a few older ones on in the middle of the day yesterday.
[&] love our little dogger :-)
Re: Our furbaby!
I know exactly what you mean! I didn't want to leave Koda right after we got him. We've got him set up in an outdoor kennel during the day while we're gone though and he's happy so that makes it alot easier. Congrats on your new addition!!
Thanks, ladies! I went home at lunch and she practically gave me a tongue bath, she was so excited to see me.
We played a little with her toys, she went out to go potty, I ate my lunch and then she settled in on her favorite spot - our loveseat - for more napping with her squeaky frog stuffy. She's just fine! I was more anxiety-ridden then she was - lol. She's so easy going, it's wonderful.
So she's probably spending her lazy afternoon napping away and listening to NPR since she's a smart doggie and that's the radio station I left on for her. ;-)
