It's only Monday, and this is the worst week ever
First, our bathroom at work had seven spiders in it. Someone killed them, but I'm still really freaked out about the bathroom and paranoid every time a hair brushes my neck.
Next, I try to report my hours, and the system says my logon ID has been de-activated. I have no idea why, but one of the HR people asked my boss last week if I still work here. WTF?! Yes! I knew something was fishy when my direct deposit info suddenly disappeared from the system and my checks started getting mailed. So now, if I'm not re-activated in time, it's possible my paycheck that's due in two weeks will be delayed by two weeks.
Keep in mind I don't even find out for a few weeks if the county is keeping my position after the first of the year. Is it too early to drink?

I hate spiders. Sorry about your payroll effup. why would your check be delayed 2 weeks? wouldn't they just send it as an actual check if the direct deposit isn't corrected in time? (I do payroll for my org BTW, that's what we'd do.)
Sorry about your job situation too. My DH's employer is about to layoff a ton of people too. I hate the waiting game.

I don't quite understand about the delay. It's not a direct deposit issue (my last 2 checks were mailed). It looks like I may have been taken out of the system entirely, so I'd have to be put back in. Often times, new hires experience a delay in their first paycheck, so it's possible this would happen to me. It's so DUMB!
