Where is everybody?

This place is like a ghost town minus the tumbleweeds.

  • Tumbleweeds? Check.

I'm off work today and should be cleaning, but I keep telling myself after I finish watching Ellen.

  • I know, right. I just went looking for everyone on ML. Nada.

  • We had a busy morning at the pediatric dentist. She said Maggie has to ditch the paci so we bought a Pillow Pet As a trade and she threw all the binkys in the trash can. I hope this goes well. She loves the pillow pet, she keeps yelling "it's a pillow pet!!" We head out for vacay on Saturday so I have a lot to do to get ready. Traveling light with little kids is impossible, I don't know how we will fit everything in the car. Plus we are using a dogsitter so I have to clean house before we go. Blah.

  • I'm here now!

I've been very productive the past few days and I'm trying to resurrect my blog so I was clearing out the dead links on the side. Remember when Bethie and Fallin and Dawg had blogs? I think one was also Dolly's blog, but I'm not positive. It's gone now, anyway.

Etsy will be my downfall. I love this seller: One Little Home

  • You need to learn how to sew, Moo. You could make pillow covers in 3 minutes and WAY cheaper than those.

  • I thought about that, but I'd need a machine, right? I have no monies or space for a machine. Right now they're way cheaper than any of the pillows I actually liked that were all fully formed and stuff.

  • I love her fabrics.  But Moo -- it's seriously easy even for us with no sewing machines: http://www.allthingsthrifty.com/2009/10/why-you-should-make-your-own-pillows.html

  • I have 2 machines and was debating getting rid of one. Let me know if you want it.

  • I've seen that one and that's where I got the idea that I needed a sewing machine!

  • I hit Post too soon -- I meant to say that the pattern should work with that stitch witchery stuff.  You just need an iron.

  • Ohhh. I thought you were taunting me, Cali. That wasn't very nice.

    Bethie, reeeeaaalllly? I emailed you.

  • I made a few pillows by hand before I got my machine.  I did it while I was watching TV and it took maybe a half an hour.  Envelope covers are SO easy.  And cheap.

  • Dammit, now I'm looking at fabrics. I need to start sewing again, I need to make kitchen curtains.

  • I'm not really here.  This is just a mirage.  However, my computer is painfully slow today, so my attention to work is disappearing.

I did want to quickly stop in and share this.  WHAT DOES IT MEAN?????

This was outside of our condo last night.  I am not sure I have ever seen a full rainbow before (granted, you cannot see that this is a full rainbow, but you will just have to take my word).

  • It means there's a pot o gold nearby, Vinny.

This post is making me want to get out Mike's grandma's sewing machine. I haven't sewed anything in years, I wonder if I even know how to thread a machine anymore.

  • I'm here. I'm trying to finish up my lesson plans. I'm so close, but I've hit a block of some sort.

  • I'm sort of here, I'm off work today.  Poor Nonna's mom passed away over the weekend.   Andy and I are juggling schedules to be at home with Lila this week.
