Monday ughs.

I hate Mondays.  I hate Mondays so bad that it RUINS my Sunday knowing the next day is Monday.  Plain and simple, it is because I hate my job so much.  I don't know what to do, feel trapped.  Ughhhhh...

Re: Monday ughs.

  • I'm so sorry :(  I've totally been there.  Why do you hate your job so much?  Is there anything you can do to make it better?
  • I am right there with you Jamie- I spend my entire weekends counting down till I am forced to return...
  • I know the feeling and I'm so glad I'm not in that position anymore.  Have you started look for other jobs?
  • Try putting irish cream in your coffee in the A.M...that's what I do!  *just joking!*...it is tempting though!

DH and I will spend a fair amount of time on Sundays complaining that the next day is Monday...

But now, this Monday is almost over...

  • Oh Jaime, I'm so sorry! And you moved across the country! Are you looking for something new?
  • *hugs*  Is this your new job that you are upset with?  Can you talk to us about it?

  • Its just a very negative environment. My husband pointed out that I have no positive energy here.  NONE.

     1.  I sit in an office by myself where I cannot see the outside. I have asked for a window office (there are nine empty and NO ONE else will be taking them as this office is abandoned) and they will not switch me.

    2.  I have only two coworkers and they are never here, so I sit alone in a bit empty office..

    3.  When those coworkers DO come in it is with complaints and I need to do this and I need to do that and then they leave within 30 minutes.

    4.  I took a 30K pay cut for this.  Thought it would be worth it.  It's not.

    5.  The work is monotonous and un-rewarding.

    6.  Even though no one is ever here I cannot work from home.  I did one day because of an emergency and three (count em three) meetings were held because of it to tell me over and over how that is not acceptable..office space anyone??

Basically, it just all around sucks.  I am looking for another job but just having started here 3 months ago, that looks REAL bad on a resume.

  • I am so sorry that the job is so terrible.  I hope that you can find something much better very soon!

I think that many people would understand the three month long employment - it was just a job "that didn't work out."  As long as you don't have a series of those, I think people will understand.

  • Oh Jamie... I hope things get better for you soon!  Here's to hoping another job comes your way soon!
  • Oh, Jamie, that stinks! What a bummer that it has turned out like this. It sounds just plain awful. :( I hope you are able to find something else, and soon!!
