Housewarming-Pot Luck & Gift
So we've been invited to a housewarming but it's also a pot luck. Basically they said we'll provide the drinks and gave a list of foods on the e vite for you to choose from.
Should we still bring a housewarming gift in addition to the food?
I've been to several housewarmings but none have been a pot luck.
Re: Housewarming-Pot Luck & Gift
I would probably take something small, I've never been to a pot luck house warming either.
A plant is always something nice to give along side a pot luck dish.... also some small ideas are: photo frames, candles, or figurines/art for the kitchen or bathrooms (if you know their decor style).
I usually stick with plants and flowers or picture frames.
P.S. Chances are some other couples won't bring a gift at all!
Cute idea, and you could do this with almost any piece of serve ware you know they'll like. You can NEVER go wrong with white, glass, or silver.
I was going to suggest the same thing! You could also include a copy of the cookbook you used to make the item, or if you are bringing drinks, you could get a set of glasses/stemware.
perfect idea.
