Majorly geeking out right now

One of my favorite books in the whole world in Learning Joy From Dogs Without Collars. It's kind of rough, but as a memoir, I love the story of it. It takes place in the Boston area and after I moved here and found myself at some of the places she mentions in the book, I'd get a little geeked out.

Now I'm MAJORLY geeked out. The author has an unusual name (Lauralee Summer) and someone with the same name just commented on one of my friends' facebook statuses. I clicked on her name and the details on her profile match so I THINK it's her. I sent my friend a message but I am majorly majorly geeking out in the meantime. It's like finding out that all this time one of my friends has been FB friends with, like, Springsteen. Or Dustin Pedroia.

Dude. DUDE.

Re: Majorly geeking out right now

  • Since you mention Springsteen...My friend is a HUGE fan and went to Ireland to see a show.  First bar she goes into, Bruce is there with his son and she started talking to him.  He asked if she was going to the show and she said yes, so he said he'd hook her up.  Sent a limo for her, gave her back stage passes, the whole shebang.  Then they say they'll give her a call when they go to Chicago (where she lives) and she figured it was all talk.  But they held to their word and did actually call when they came to town and hooked her up again.  So I though that was pretty awesome of them.
