I feel like summer is over
SIL emailed me about her engagement party Labor Day weekend, and as I popped the event into my planner I realized that we have plans every weekend through September. I just feel like the summer is over. Every year as soon as August hits I feel like the days fly by, and next thing you know I am baking apple pie. I do love the fall though.

I cannot believe it's August already. Both Dh and I were like, WTH!? last night over the date.
I love the fall in New England.
The heat and humidity still reminds me that it's still summer. But I can't believe how fast this year has gone by so far and that it is almost the middle of August. It's hard to believe that within a month kids will be back to school (and my commute will go back to sucking ass
).
July was way overbooked for me. I'm trying to enjoy August before it's gone! I hope the weather keeps cooperating so I can take a long weekend or two and sneak off to the beach.
Every summer H and I always say that we are going to get to the beach at some point, and it never works out.
That's how it was for us, we didn't make it out to the Cape together until the week before we moved, and once we went we wished we'd gone more often.
I can't believe August is already a third of the way over, although it definitely doesn't feel like it with these insanely hot temps!
