Weekend updates
Hi everyone.
How was everyones weekend?
Mine was good.
Friday- we drove to southern part of IL (DHs grandpas house) to help paint. We got there and his parents were not ready to paint yet so DH helped his dad move a dryer and some a/c units and we all went to dinner then we drove home.
Saturday- we lounged around the house and dinner at ILs
Sunday- cleaned the house, went to old navy, DH made dinner for him, myself and my friend.
Nothing exciting.
Re: Weekend updates
Friday night we went to this great resturant right on the river. The food was so delish, and the atmosphere was just awesome. If i had to be a server I'd want to work @ a place like that!
Saturday I went to the beach with my sister. There was a 50% chance of rain, and we could see all the storm clouds going around us but we never got rained on, yay!
Sunday I literally laid on the couch all day. There is probably an indention of my body from where I laid there. I got up @ 830, ate breakfast, laid on the couch and took a nap, lol. I only woke up bc the dogs started barking when my dad walked in the front door.. it was great!
It was SUPER hot and humid all weekend - other than early Saturday morning when I had a great run with a just a sprinkle of rain!
We are way behind on lots of house stuff that we thought we'd finish this summer, so I guess next weekend we've got some serious progress to make!
On Saturday I went my parents because my grandpa (who lives in New Mex and I haven't seen in over 3 years) was visiting. So good to see him. Sunday we had a big community church festival and picnic. Fun - but it was sweltering outside. Hope everyone has a great week!
I went out to visit my friend up near Lake George and it was a lot of fun. Friday night I left after work and didn't get there until 9, so that was a long day. Saturday we got delicious bagels for breakfast, then went to Saratoga to watch the races - there was some excellent people watching, but i didn't bet at all. Then we went out for Mexican and it was SO good. Sunday we went out for breakfast and just relaxed, then I had to drive home. I was so glad to see my friend and get to check out her house, because we should be closing this week or next and then we will be busy moving and nesting and then the baby comes.
Our weekend was full of seeing friends!
Friday night- poker game. DH made $80
Saturday- baked a ton of cookies, went to my friend's housewarming party BBQ for a few hours and then to another friends place for an 8 course home cooked anniversary dinner (got very drunk. it was lots of fun)
Sunday- breakfast with a couple of friends who were in town for the weekend. Then BBQ at a 3rd friend's house. then DH and I came home and went to the pool at the apartment office to cool off.
We didn't do too much this weekend. I did the normal shopping.
On Sunday (and it is carrying over into the week now) the cops were at our door looking for someone who lived there before we did. I am a wreck because this is an aquatiance of ours and the cops are hunting him (he has multiple felony warrents). Thankfully we have talked to both the sheriff and our local police dept and they are helping us as much as they can, as well as us helping them. I'm trying to get ahold of the post master general for our area to explain to them what is going on so that they will stop his mail from being delivered to our house. He has never changed his address (more like refused to change his address). It is a mess and I hope it is all over soon.
