Hollywood Red Carpet Themed Party- Sweet 16
so this is the kind of party that my lil sis wants. she is planning to have hugh jackman movies playing. i came up with red carpet idea and thought we need movie posters, popcorn, soda and movie theater style candy. we thought ppl could dress up in the nicest thing they already have. what else would be good?
oh i thought she could do a video invitation like a movie trailer and youtube it to all her friends. what do you think? too much?

I went to a sweet 16 like that afew months ago. they had ticket-style invites, at the banquet hall, they had a red carpet going into the room with a velvet rope along the sides, with big lights & photographers... they also covered a wall in sometype of vinyl that had a pattern printed on it of a logo they created which said the girls name & sweet 16 (like the ones they have at red carpet events where people stand in front of it to take pics.) So people were able to take pics as they were walking in with the girl and received those pics later in a hollywood type frame ( i guess someone went and did one-hour photo or something) Throughout the banquet hall, they had easels with poster-size magazine covers with the birthday girl on every cover... (for example, Glamour mag & the girl posing on the cover with lines that say "Monica is the new teen sensation" and stuff like that) They had every major fashion mag with her on the cover.
Apparently, they had done a photoshoot prior for all these pics and they also had propics in the centerpeices of the tables with black, gold & silver star ballons coming out... the girl and the 8 couples did this whole routine when they were coming into the hall and were being introduce... it was very clever.... there were so many details, but it was a great party.
