Chloe's not doing much better. She's acting normal, but still needing to pee every couple hours and again had a little accident today. She's been on her antibiotics, the new food and cranberry for 5 days now, and she should have SOME improvement. I'm so close to crying because we just don't know what's going on. I should have done the urine culture when we were there last week, because what if this isn't the antibiotic she needs to be on?
Plus, her new food produces more urine (to make it less concentrated) and usually she can stay at home without going pee for 10 hours usually, and 13 hours if need be, but if she's got more pee, she won't be able too wait. And then Adam starts school in a couple weeks and will be gone until after I get home from work, so she'll have to hold it 13 hours. I just want to cry.

Re: back to the vet
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Poor Chloe! I hope that she starts feeling better soon.
I agree with Sara; maybe you could find a reliable teenager or a retiree in the neighborhood who would be willing to come over and walk her for a reasonable fee. I don't know if you can paper train an older dog or not, but it might be something to look into.
I'm so sorry! I hope the vet can figure out whats wrong this time!
And I agree with the other girls about having someone stop by to let her out. My sister stopped by our house and let our dog out a few times when I couldn't leave on my lunch hour.
Thanks ladies. My sister called as I was gmail chatting with my mom and I just ended up bawling my eyes out to her.
Adam says, "she'll be fine," and that he knows he won't be able to come home during lunch. We don't really have anyone that could come by, except for my best friend and her husband, and the only problem with that is they have a 3 month old even though Keith is a stay at home dad, I don't think they want to bring her over here quite yet, but I might ask. Adam will probably hold on to the "she'll be fine." boloney. Would you want to hold your pee for 10 hours when you have a UTI??? I don't think so.
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
