Chicag-ho's
Mike and I are doing a day trip in to the city while we're vacationing in Michigan next week. We are taking the train in and aside from some shopping along Michigan Ave, we don't have any big plans in mind. Any recommendations for eating or sightseeing? We'll get in around 11 and head back at 7 so not too long of a time.

I've taken it and have also recommended it in the past! Just as long as you don't get seasick. : ) I do and I had my head over the side for the majority of the ride.
Boat tour is great. I'd also reco the Art Institute, if you want to do the museum thing. Signature Room at the top of the Hancock tower for a drink (drink costs about the same as the admission to the Sears Tower, and hey, you at least get a drink with your view). Don't bother with Navy Pier.
ETA: Forgot food! What are you thinking? Casual/cheap or fancy/spendy? For steak, I like Chop House or Gibsons. We went to mk three years ago and it was really good, upscale but casual, spendy but not too spendy, new american type food. And awesome dessert. Rockit is fun for a burger.
