The RM has a tentative closing date next month. Woohoo! We are so ready to have our privacy back! Oh, and our guest room, half the garage, hanging out in PJ's, SG, etc, lol!
Background: a friend of ours was waiting to close on a condo and needed a place to stay for a few weeks last November. Then a series of events with the companies that owned the condo led that to be pushed back several times. It looks like it is really going to happen this time - 10 months later!
Re: Woot! Finally!
Thank gawd! We jokingly refer to him as a c-block when he's not around! haha! I truly hope that not having his presence or not worrying about when he is going to walk through the door will help boost my drive.
Yeah I think that could ruin anyone's drive, although I'm sure your DH will miss the money.

It was never my idea, that's for sure. DH convinced me to go along with it for the sake of the little bit of extra money. Plus, the RM kept being strung along about when he'd get to close. So first it was just a few extra weeks, then a few more weeks, then the next month, and so on. Then he was told he'd close before the tax rebate deadline, which came and went. It was never intentional for him to stay so long and I know the situation wasn't ideal for him either. They just kept telling him "a little bit longer." At least they are giving him credit for the $8k. Of course, if he had any way of knowing it would have taken so long, he never would have given up his apt. when his lease ended.
It's gotten really old though. At first, he helped out - did the dishes, helped clean-up, etc. I couldn't tell you the last time he ran the dishwasher. He works from home, so it's nice to have someone there for packages, etc., but man... I sure do miss our privacy!
I have made it clear that under no circumstances will there ever be another RM situation.
